Exchange Club of Fontana Holds Installation Ceremony Dinner: A Celebration of Leadership and Service

On Saturday, July 27th, the Exchange Club of Fontana hosted a memorable installation ceremony dinner, marking a new chapter in its ongoing commitment to community service. The evening was a celebration of leadership, dedication, and the spirit of volunteerism that defines this vibrant organization.

**Leadership Announcements and New Roles**

Brock Champion is named President

The highlight of the ceremony was the announcement of the new and returning officers for the 2024-2025 year. Brock Champion, the esteemed Principal for Options for Youth, was re-elected as President. His continued leadership is expected to further strengthen the club’s impact in the coming year. Sonja Dawkins, the Vice President, will also be taking on the role of District Director for the California-Nevada district, expanding her influence and responsibilities within the organization.

 

 

 

In addition, Magdalena Gonzalez has been named Secretary, and Andrea Reyes will serve as Treasurer. Their dedication and expertise are anticipated to bring different perspectives and efficiency to the club’s operations.

The Board of Directors sworn in were Jesse Armendarez, Melba Rey, Pamela Anderson, Bonnie Edmiston, and Natalie Dela Torre joining as Board members. Their collective experience and enthusiasm will undoubtedly contribute to the club’s ongoing success.

 

**Recognizing Outstanding Contributions**

Bonnie Edmiston named Exchangeite of the Year

The evening also served as a platform to honor the exceptional efforts of its members. Bonnie Edmiston was awarded the prestigious Exchangite of the Year accolade,  recognizing her outstanding contributions and unwavering dedication to the club’s mission. Additionally, Virginia Garcia and Vanessa Antekeier were jointly honored with the Volunteer of the Year award for their exceptional volunteer work and commitment to various club initiatives.

The Exchange Club of Fontana, an all-volunteer organization, is renowned for its impactful community service projects. The club is particularly well-known for organizing beloved events such as the Festival of Winter Parade, the Fontana Days Parade, and the Fontana Days Festival.
