EXCEL CLUB
Excel Today, Succeed Tomorrow
Fontana Excel Clubs are junior Exchange Clubs that consists of groups of students dedicated to representing their schools by improving their community and themselves through volunteerism for the City of Fontana.
Club involvement and volunteer hours are highly considered when filling out College Applications.

what excel does
An Excel Club empowers students to become leaders in service by identifying and addressing the needs of their community. Each club selects projects based on local concerns, student interests, or skills they want to develop. With guidance from a school advisor and a sponsoring Exchange Club member, students take charge—leading meetings, organizing service projects, and planning fundraising events. Clubs meet once a month during lunch hours, making it easy for students to participate without conflicting with other extracurricular activities like sports or clubs. These meetings focus on upcoming volunteer opportunities and ways to give back. Excel Clubs also encourage parent involvement, helping to create a strong support system around each student’s commitment to community service.

A Volunteer Club
The Excel Clubs actively contribute to various events in the Fontana community by partnering with the Exchange Club of Fontana to promote civic engagement and service. Here are some key events where the clubs play a vital role:
Through these events, the Excel Clubs not only serve the community but, also empower young leaders to develop skills and a strong sense of service.

Child Abuse Awareness Campaign
The Excel Club of Fontana is proud to take on the heartfelt mission of fundraising for teddy bears to comfort children who have experienced abuse or trauma. These bears will be distributed to the Fontana Police Department, local fire stations, and the Fontana Unified School District Police Department to be given to children in crisis situations. By providing a small symbol of care and safety, the Excel Club hopes to bring a moment of comfort to children during some of their most difficult times.

Why join this club?
Joining an Excel Club is a powerful way for students to grow a deep sense of pride and dedication to the city they’ve grown up in. Through hands-on service projects, leadership opportunities, and teamwork, students learn the value of giving back and making a positive impact where it matters most—right in their own community. Volunteering not only strengthens neighborhoods but also nourishes the soul, creating a lasting sense of purpose and fulfillment. Excel Club helps instill a lifelong commitment to service, and as these students grow into adulthood, they can continue making a difference by joining the Exchange Club of Fontana—carrying forward the spirit of volunteerism and leadership for years to come.
