Fontana, CA — The Exchange Club of Fontana, in proud partnership with the City of Fontana, is gearing up to present the highly anticipated 2025 Fontana Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. This year’s festivities promise to be bigger and more heartfelt than ever as thousands of residents, families, and visitors gather in downtown Fontana to celebrate community, tradition, and holiday spirit.
This year’s parade theme, “I Believe in Magic,” will set the tone for whimsical floats, sparkling decorations, and performances inspired by the wonder of the holiday season.
The parade route will kick off at Sierra Avenue and Arrow Boulevard, making its way through the heart of the city before returning to Miller Park, where the City of Fontana will host its annual Winter Festival—a full day of seasonal activities, entertainment, and family fun.
New “Battle of the Bands” Competition Debuts
A highlight of this year’s parade is the inaugural “Battle of the Bands,” a musical showdown featuring marching bands from across Fontana—and beyond. While all Fontana school marching bands have already committed to this showcase of talent and school pride, bands from outside districts are also invited to join the competition.
Cash prizes and a citywide spotlight await the winners:
-
1st Place: $500 and trophy
-
2nd Place: $300
-
3rd Place: $200
Winners will be announced during a special ceremony at the Winter Festival following the parade.
“This is an exciting new chapter for our historic parade,” said Exchange Club President Brock Champion. “Fontana has incredible student musicians, and giving them a platform to shine—and compete—adds a whole new level of energy to the event. We’re proud to welcome bands from all over Southern California to be part of this celebration.”
Bands and parade participants can register and review rules at ExchangeClubofFontana.org. The final deadline to register is December 6th.
Honoring the Legacy of Joseph “Randy” Binks
This year’s parade carries a deeply meaningful dedication to the late Joseph Randy Binks, a beloved member of the historic Binks family. The Binks legacy runs deep in Fontana—from Kathy Binks Elementary School to the family’s longtime foster care contributions.
Randy served for many years as the parade’s cherished announcer and MC, bringing warmth, humor, and hometown pride to every holiday season. Following his passing, his son, Captain Brian Binks of the Fontana Police Department, has proudly taken up the microphone, continuing a family tradition of service to the city.
“Randy was part of the heartbeat of this parade,” said Exchange Club Vice President Sonja Dawkins. “His voice is woven into the memories of thousands of families who have come out year after year. We are honored to celebrate his life and legacy in such a public and heartfelt way.”
A special pre-show ceremony will be held before the parade begins, commemorating Randy’s contributions and honoring those who carry his legacy forward.
Introducing the 2025 Grand Marshal: Supervisor Jesse Armendarez
The Exchange Club is also honored to announce the 2025 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal: San Bernardino County 2nd District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez. A lifelong county resident, successful entrepreneur, and dedicated public servant, Armendarez has spent his career championing families and economic growth across the region.
“Supervisor Armendarez embodies the spirit of leadership and community service,” said Champion. “We are thrilled to have him help lead this year’s parade.”
A Historic Event Open to All
For decades, the Fontana Christmas Parade has stood as one of the city’s most treasured traditions—drawing schools, nonprofits, local businesses, performers, and community groups together in a celebration that blends civic pride with festive cheer.
The Exchange Club encourages all interested participants to join the procession. “This parade belongs to the people of Fontana,” Dawkins added. “Whether you’re performing, marching, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, you’re helping keep this tradition alive.”
